“OUR CONNECTION WITH OTHERS CAN ONLY BE AS DEEP AS OUR CONNECTION WITH OURSELVES.”
—Brené Brown

The Sandwich Generation
Sometimes we also find ourselves in caregiving roles that aren’t paid—if you’re part of the Sandwich Generation, you’re probably all too familiar with the balancing act—you’re “sandwiched” between trying to raise and support your children (maybe adult ones) while also caring for aging parents (or partners with medical needs), managing a career and family responsibilities, and keeping your own life together. It’s a lot. While there may be moments of joy or gratitude, caregiving can leave you feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and at times, resentful.
You do not have to travel this journey alone! If you need confidential support navigating compassion fatigue as a helping professional or in your caregiving role, I would be glad to help you create a mindful, balanced, and sustainable plan for caring for yourself while caring for others.
